back from field camp!!! soo happy :) :) i must say those four days have been the most gruelling training i had since i entered army. navigated 28km in total from afternoon to night for 2 days with a 30 kg load on my back which by the way seems to be oversized for me and the pain like tearing through every inch of your muscle coupled with body fatigue. bashing through jungles in tekong and nearly rolling down the knoll which one of my section mates did! it was hilarious. and with the pack on your back, i would say its rather impossible to get up once u fall down! had less than 4 hour sleep a day, came back with a twisted ankle, numerous thorn cuts and ant bites all over the body. quite a horrendous feeling. walking 28km was atrocious under the hot sun, times like these made me wonder whether i still wanted to stay on in infantry or go the easy way out and go artillery like evryone else. but i guess its all for the experience, so that a few yrs down the road you can look back and say"ahhh i have survived in a jungle or tell your grandchildren, ah gong once stayed in brunei jungle and all the stuff, sounds more interesting to me!" okay i m really talking crap. anyw, my long weekend has been cut short by an extra duty on sunday :( have to book in at 8 in the morning! but nvm shall go out the whole of tml! meeting up with clar for lunch, havent seen her for ages besides during the law written test,was quite surprised when she asked to meet for lunch! maybe can ask her to teach me law in the future! hehe. and cp, i need ur help too!! u must teach me! hahaha. night shall go watch "the simpsons!" with mingzhou and mark! heard its really good!! then clubbing at night with sasi!! think i will die on sunday but i must cherish my bookout time! :) 7 weeks down 31 more weeks to go! |
